Job Summary

Join Kraken’s Core Infrastructure team as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of our data infrastructure. You’ll design and automate on-prem and AWS components with IaC, build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes/Nomad, implement monitoring/alerting, and collaborate with software, security, and platform teams in a highly regulated fintech environment.

Job Function: DevOps, Cloud & Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

•Implement data infrastructure solutions (self service) used by dozens of business units and hundreds of engineers.
•Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to design and provision on-premises and AWS infrastructure (Terraform).
•Develop and maintain automation scripts to automate operational tasks and deployments.
•Enhance and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable consistent software deployments across the data infrastructure.
•Implement robust data monitoring and alerting and manage RBAC across environments.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
•1+ year of experience as an SRE / Infrastructure/Platform/DevOps Engineer or similar role.
•Proficiency with bash/shell scripting and at least one programming language (Python, Golang or Rust).
•Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Podman.
•Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform) and AWS infrastructure components.
