Job Summary

Support the CarMax Audit Services team by developing and executing the department’s audit plan for IT processes, applications, infrastructure, and system implementations. Perform and lead integrated audits and the annual SOX IT audit, and act as a trusted risk advisor during pre-implementation reviews and business initiatives. Use risk assessments and testing procedures, produce high-quality workpapers, and deliver actionable recommendations to improve internal controls, efficiency, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and execute the audit plan by supporting CarMax Audit Services through technology process, application, and infrastructure reviews.
•Perform and lead audits and reviews of regulatory, operational, and technological processes and controls, including integrated audits and the annual SOX IT audit.
•Provide risk-based guidance and assurance during pre-implementation reviews, company initiatives, and process/system enhancements to help ensure appropriate controls.
•Use risk assessments, audit programs, and testing/review procedures to identify risk, tailor work, reach conclusions, and explore solutions.
•Lead fieldwork, prepare high-quality workpapers, coordinate cross-functionality on scope and results, and communicate recommendations to drive operational excellence.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 95,100 - 142,700

Key Requirements

•4+ years of information systems auditing experience or relevant IT internal audit, IT risk, compliance, or consulting experience.
•Detailed knowledge and testing experience with IT general controls (ITGCs) across application, operating system, and database.
•Understanding of traditional and emerging technology domains including cybersecurity, cloud, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, networking, data warehouses, integration strategies, IT operations, IT risk management, and IT governance.
•Bachelors degree, preferably in Computer Science, Accounting Information Systems, Accounting/Finance, or a related business field.
•Experience performing risk assessments, scoping, test planning, walkthroughs, and assessing design/operating effectiveness of technology controls (including automated/configurable controls and system development/implementation reviews).
