Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and execute the Audit Services department audit plan and support audits and advisory engagements across technology and business processes.
  • •Perform and lead audits and reviews of regulatory, operational, and technological processes and controls, including integrated audits and the annual SOX IT audit.
  • •Provide assurance and risk-based guidance during pre-implementation reviews, initiatives, and process/system enhancements requested by the business.
  • •Use risk assessments, audit programs, and testing/review procedures to identify risk, tailor work, and reach conclusions; document results in high-quality workpapers.
  • •Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to align on risk, scope, and results, and recommend improvements that drive operational excellence and internal controls effectiveness.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelors degree, preferably in Computer Science, Accounting Information Systems, Accounting/Finance, or a related business field.
  • •4+ years of information systems auditing experience (or relevant IT internal audit, IT risk/compliance, or consulting experience).
  • •Detailed knowledge and testing experience with IT general controls (ITGCs) across application, operating system, and database layers.
  • •Understanding of traditional and emerging technology domains including cybersecurity, cloud, AI, infrastructure, networking, data warehouses, integration strategies, and IT governance.
  • •Technical skills to support audits of complex technology areas (e.g., ERPs, custom applications, SQL scripting, and database structure design) and willingness to learn CarMax’s technology suite and tools.
