Job Summary

Work as a key crew member applying hot mix asphalt (HMA) on highways and other roadways using handheld tools. Rake and shovel material, sweep associated areas, and help pave roadways per plan specifications. Adapt to tasks as directed by the crew foreman and ensure daily schedules/estimates are met. Perform work outdoors in extreme weather while meeting density requirements, including PWL, and following strict safety and PPE procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with hot mix asphalt (HMA) by raking and shoveling.
•Help apply asphalt on highways, private roadways, parking lots, and driveways using handheld tools.
•Partner with crew members to pave roadways per plan specifications and support tasks as directed by the crew foreman.
•Shovel and sweep dirt/asphalt/stone associated with heavy highway construction; use required power and/or hand tools.
•Adapt and work in extreme weather conditions to support daily schedules/estimates.
