Key Responsibilities

  • •Adhere to safety, health, and environment requirements, including good housekeeping, safety interventions, and participation in SLAM/HPH and risk assessments.
  • •Collect, transport, register, prepare, and analyse sample types to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results.
  • •Monitor laboratory processes to meet production requirements, including inspections to optimise utilisation and throughput, and report deviations, equipment failures, and risks.
  • •Verify and validate test results against required standards and operate the information management system so test results are available to stakeholders.
  • •Perform equipment validation and first-line maintenance per SOPs/WIs, record quality control results and non-conformances, and support corrective actions.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12 Certificate / N3
  • •Valid SA Drivers Licence
  • •Technical knowledge of manual and automated laboratory operations, acquired through 2 years of experience
  • •Ability to handle chemical substances safely and understand lock-out procedures and safety standards for laboratory settings
  • •Proficiency in computer systems, including MS Office and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) (and automated laboratory control systems)
