Job Summary

Install, test, and maintain audio-visual facilities and equipment, including connectors and AV broadcast hardware. Configure IT networking (star networks), set up virtual studio production gear, and monitor AV links between units. Diagnose and repair technical faults to minimize service downtime, and design custom A/V circuits and hardware systems for inside and outside broadcasts. Work with product and creative teams while following health and safety best practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Install and test new audio-visual facilities, equipment, and connectors (BNC, Micro BNC, RJ45, XLR).
•Set up and configure IT networking for AV broadcast use, including star network setup and device communication.
•Maintain and operate equipment for virtual studio production and set up/monitor audio-visual links between units.
•Design, install, and manufacture custom audio-visual circuits and hardware/systems for broadcasts.
•Troubleshoot, repair, and implement alternative methods to minimize service loss when equipment fails.

•Advanced knowledge of photography concepts (aperture, shutter speed, ISO, exposure) and camera lenses.
•Strong technical knowledge of cameras and advanced ability operating a video camera.

•Advanced knowledge of production video switchers and live chroma keying.
•Advanced understanding of SDI infrastructure plus strong IT, project management, and fault-finding skills.
