Job Summary

Perform laboratory testing and analyses for biological, hematological, chemical, and physical samples under the direction of professional staff. Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and a Laboratory Information System to support quality operations and patient care. Prepare reagents, media, slides, and specimens; perform microscopy, urinalyses, blood counts, and biochemical tests. Ensure quality control/QI participation, accurate documentation, confidentiality, and strict adherence to infection control, patient safety, OSHAD, DOH/DHA/MOH, JCI, and ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform assigned laboratory work and analyses to required standards (ISO 15189:2022, EIAC, JCI, and applicable DOH/DHA/MOH regulations).
•Conduct biological, hematological, chemical, and physical tests on samples including blood, sputum, urine, water, and tissues under direction of professional staff.
•Operate and maintain sophisticated instruments and maintain competence in the Laboratory Information System for quality operations and patient care.
•Prepare reagents, biological media, slides, and specimens; perform microscopic observations, urinalyses, blood counts, and biochemical determinations.
•Participate in QC/QI, follow infection control and safety policies, accurately complete records/reports, and support confidentiality and clear communication.

Key Requirements

•Graduate of an accredited diploma or certificate program as a Laboratory Technician (at least 2 years duration).
•Not less than two (2) years of Medical Laboratory experience.
•Currently licensed in the country of origin and with DOH/DHA/MOH license to practice in UAE.
•Fluent in spoken and written English; Arabic is desirable but not essential.
•Ability to learn and handle automation and IT programs is desirable but not essential.
