Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise clients on cost strategies and manage bid-related activities, including vendor prequalification, assessing proposals/bids, chairing bid interviews, and making final recommendations.
  • •Develop and present project estimates across construction, fees, direct work, and other costs; review junior estimates; provide value engineering recommendations and risk assessments; benchmark against other projects.
  • •Establish and manage cost reporting, forecasts, and budget/spend reviews; maintain a commercial risk register; host periodic meetings with project team and vendors.
  • •Control costs by reviewing payment applications and change order requests, recommending contractor entitlements, and using dispute prevention/management/resolution procedures for contractual matters.
  • •Manage invoicing and end-to-end final accounting, including post-contract audits, account closeouts, post-contract reviews, and procedures for project handover.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 115,000 - 135,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • •Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience working in a cost management role in the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium or large sized construction projects.
  • •Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters (including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering) and strong communication skills.
