Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide specialized technical input to studies and design within the transmission & distribution cable discipline.
  • •Develop study and design procedures to support high-quality, cost-effective work by others.
  • •Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables and perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  • •Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts, and use expertise to complete discipline components of the PS&E package.
  • •Prepare technical specification sections and provide input to engineering budget and schedule planning to meet project requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of relevant work experience (preferred).
  • •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Structural, or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • •Registered with the Board of Engineers (BEM) and preferably a Professional Engineer with Practice Certification status.
  • •Previous experience in HV Cable OEM design teams for Grid Utilities for Underground HV Cable design is highly desirable.
  • •Exposure to international standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian Standards and Middle East region codes/standards) and design tools like CYMCAP and/or EMTP for ampacity/EMTP calculations is highly desirable.
