Key Responsibilities

  • •Engineer, automate, and operate the firm’s Linux fleet across private data centers and cloud regions to meet reliability, performance, and security standards.
  • •Perform kernel-level and system-level performance tuning for latency-sensitive workloads, including core pinning/shielding, kernel bypass, network stack tuning, and interrupt steering.
  • •Build and maintain deployment, configuration, patching, and monitoring automation in Python using configuration management to manage the Linux estate as code.
  • •Own Linux platform surface areas across both Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu from provisioning through in-life management.
  • •Define and enforce Linux security baselines and hardening standards, partnering with Security Engineering, and provide production support through on-call rotation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 150,000 - 200,000

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • •5+ years of systems or platform engineering experience with a focus on Linux infrastructure.
  • •Advanced knowledge of the Linux kernel, including core pinning/shielding, kernel bypass, network stack tuning, and interrupt steering.
  • •Strong working knowledge of both Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu.
  • •Experience automating deployment, configuration, patching, and monitoring using Python and modern configuration management (e.g., Ansible).
