Job Summary

Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment to keep the Wilson plant running smoothly. Review work orders and respond to emergencies, using SAP to create work orders and interpret technical documents like blueprints and schematics. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and replace faulty parts, fabricate replacement components, and install and maintain mechanical systems, piping, and electrical controls while following LOCKOUT/TAGOUT and GMP safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Use SAP to create work orders, review work order details, and respond quickly to emergency calls.
•Troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, replace, reassemble, and test mechanical equipment to keep production on track.
•Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems (including pumps and packaging/slicing equipment).
•Install and maintain essential systems (mechanical equipment and piping, electrical controls, utilities such as water/gas/drain lines) per specs and safety regulations.
•Follow company safety protocols including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 24.95 - 34.45 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience/training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance (or 4 years direct experience).
•Vocational/technical diploma or an associate degree in a technical maintenance or vocational school (preferred).
•Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact with personnel and outside contractors.
•Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, scissor lift, or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
•Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, and to read/execute work orders, write daily reports, and translate equipment manuals.
