Key Responsibilities

•Execute System Safety program plans aligned with MIL-STD-882E and program-specific requirements.
•Conduct safety analyses at the system and sub-system level (FTA, FHA, SCFTA, FMECA) and develop safety requirements with design teams.
•Identify hazards, manage hazard tracking, and ensure risk mitigation strategies are in place.
•Support Design Requirements Process to ensure teams adhere to safety best practices and participate in milestone reviews (PDR, CDR, QDR).
•Lead Safety corrective actions from RCCA investigations and Mishap Reports, verifying risk reduction measures.

Key Requirements

•Minimum of 5 years of industry experience as a System Safety Engineer or equivalent engineering background.
•B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
•Experience with safety-critical hardware and software systems in the defense or aerospace industry.
•Familiarity with MIL-STD-882E and other relevant safety standards.
•Strong background in safety analysis techniques including FTA, FHA, SCFTA, and FMECA.
