Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute System Safety program plans aligned with MIL-STD-882E and program-specific requirements.
  • •Conduct safety analyses at the system and sub-system level (FTA, FHA, SCFTA, FMECA) and develop safety requirements with design teams.
  • •Identify hazards, manage hazard tracking, and ensure risk mitigation strategies are in place.
  • •Support Design Requirements Process to ensure teams adhere to safety best practices and participate in milestone reviews (PDR, CDR, QDR).
  • •Lead Safety corrective actions from RCCA investigations and Mishap Reports, verifying risk reduction measures.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of 5 years of industry experience as a System Safety Engineer or equivalent engineering background.
  • •B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
  • •Experience with safety-critical hardware and software systems in the defense or aerospace industry.
  • •Familiarity with MIL-STD-882E and other relevant safety standards.
  • •Strong background in safety analysis techniques including FTA, FHA, SCFTA, and FMECA.
