Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate daily department responsibilities by communicating the Maintenance Supervisor’s instructions to team members and ensuring they’re carried out timely and correctly.
  • •Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in organizing and directing the work of maintenance mechanics, performing all duties of processing mechanics.
  • •Operate machine shop equipment (lathe, milling machine, shears, brakes) and perform welding to fabricate chutes, chain guards, and processing equipment components.
  • •Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on processing equipment and perform simple troubleshooting of electrical components.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance on processing equipment as assigned and maintain records of work.

Key Requirements

  • •Twelve months of continuous employment with a single employer within the last 36 months or completion of verifiable formal schooling in a specific trade.
  • •Minimum of 12 months experience in fabrication and mechanical work.
  • •Preferred: welding, boiler, and electrical experience.
  • •Must be proficient in using equipment such as lathe, milling machine, shears, and brakes, and able to perform simple electrical troubleshooting/ARC welding components.
