  • •Supervise, train, and monitor assigned claims adjusters and other claims personnel; assist claims leadership in overseeing and handling claims.
  • •Manage overall operations of a designated area of authority, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance assessments, and employee development.
  • •Review claims regularly for coverage and adequate reserves; counsel on further action and resolve coverage and unusual questions.
  • •Maintain working knowledge of adjuster files and applicable statutory laws; handle claims complaints and inquiries.
  • •Direct processing of legal papers served to ERIE involving claims action; assist with trial procedures and attend pre-trial functions and trials as necessary.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent with 6 years of claims-related experience; or associate degree with 4 years; or bachelor’s degree with 2 years.
  • •Ability to have or obtain NC, WV, and KY licenses, as required by applicable state(s).
  • •Completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) designation preferred.
  • •Valid driver’s license required.
  • •Experience using estimating software preferred; leadership experience preferred.
