Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate machines to spread, smooth, level, and compact asphalt and gravel to job specifications.
  • •Drive and control the roller to compact earth fills, subgrade, streets, and runways.
  • •Perform daily safety assignments including area inspections and pre-shifts.
  • •Make overlapping passes and adjust speed/direction based on material compressibility and temperature.
  • •Assist with paving crew duties and use additional tools as needed to compact areas not accessible to the road roller.
