Job Summary

Own and continuously improve the Crypto AML and Sanctions program across Robinhood Crypto. Partner with AML Officers, financial crimes and fraud teams, and cross-functional groups (Product, Risk, Legal) to guide compliant crypto product development—from testing and launch through retrospective assessment. Serve as the AML/Sanctions subject matter expert, support licensing and regulatory exams, and translate regulatory updates into actionable program enhancements.

•Develop and maintain oversight of shared services for financial crimes compliance.
•Collaborate with global AML Officers to align programs across international entities.
•Advise Business, Legal, and Compliance teams on AML, sanctions, and fraud considerations throughout crypto product ideation, development, testing, and launch.
•Serve as the AML and Sanctions subject matter expert, translating regulatory updates into program enhancements.
•Support licensing processes, regulatory filings/exams/inquiries, risk assessments, audits, and board/committee reporting.

Key Requirements

•7+ years of AML and sanctions experience, including at least 2+ years within Crypto compliance.
•Demonstrated knowledge of fraud prevention and detection, including 1+ years analyzing crypto-specific fraud typologies.
•Deep understanding of NYDFS Part 504 regulations as applied to cryptocurrency programs.
•Familiarity with EU and UK AML regulations and international compliance frameworks (e.g., MiCA, UK Money Laundering Regulations).
•Proficiency in SQL to extract compliance data, build queries, and develop reports for management decision-making.
