Job Summary

Serve as lead legal business partner for North America commercial, customer-facing, and revenue-generating activities. Provide pragmatic counsel on commercial transactions, contract negotiation (including NDAs and customer agreements), and pre-litigation disputes. Advise on strategic growth initiatives and major transactions such as M&A, manage litigation strategy with outside counsel, and support policy and process improvements. Work fully remotely with preference for Eastern/Central time zones.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide timely, cost-effective legal counsel to business units across regional and global matters.
•Advise on and negotiate commercial transactions and contracts with customers, vendors, and service providers.
•Support strategic transactions (including M&A) by identifying risks and conducting due diligence.
•Manage day-to-day legal issues involving business operations such as plant operations, logistics, asset management, and real estate (leases and property agreements).
•Lead litigation strategy, manage disputes, and handle intellectual property rights issues with external counsel as needed.

Key Requirements

•J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. or Canada jurisdiction.
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited law school qualification.
•At least 8+ years post qualification experience handling complex commercial transactions and customer contracting.
•Strong drafting and negotiation skills to balance legal risk with business objectives.
•Experience supporting fast-paced operating environments, preferably in industrial, logistics, manufacturing, equipment, or service-based businesses.
