Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and oversee the Mathematics department across the school, driving academic excellence.
  • •Develop and implement curriculum plans, assessment strategies, and staff development programs.

  • •Monitor and ensure high standards of teaching and learning with evidence of student progress.

Key Requirements

  • •A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree in relevant subject area, plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE/PGDE/teaching license or Level 5 equivalent specialism in Mathematics.
  • •Proven leadership experience within a Mathematics department or clear potential to step into a Head of Department role.
  • •Strong subject knowledge and the ability to lead on curriculum planning, assessment, and staff development.
  • •A consistent track record of outstanding teaching and learning, with evidence of excellent student progress and achievement.
  • •Experience teaching within the IB framework and/or American curriculum is highly desired across the Mathematics faculty.
