Job Summary

Senior environmental engineer responsible for leading environmental assessment, remediation design, and reporting efforts for projects in Jacksonville, FL. You will manage data collection across soil, groundwater, and surface water, design remediation plans, oversee field teams and budgets, and prepare technical reports and client communications within WSP’s Earth & Environment team.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead environmental assessment activities across soil, soil gas, sediment, surface water, and groundwater data collection
•Design soil and groundwater remediation plans using technologies such as soil excavation, soil vapor extraction, and enhanced bioremediation
•Oversee field activities and monitor budgets, labor hours, expenses, and subcontractor costs
•Prepare data visualizations and comprehensive technical reports detailing methodologies, results, conclusions, and recommendations
•Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and technical staff to ensure clear communication and project execution within policy and safety guidelines

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering or closely related engineering discipline
•5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in environmental engineering
•Demonstrated experience in the evaluation and design of modified active gas sampling and soil vapor extraction systems, including pre-design field surveys and oversight
•Project management experience with ability to execute projects within budget and schedule (typically under $200K)
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills and commitment to safety and policy compliance
