Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, electrical/brake/cooling, steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, differentials, air conditioning, and related systems.
•Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using test instruments; perform road tests to confirm proper operation.
•Maintain the company-issued service vehicle with safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections; manage daily schedule independently.
•Document work on repair orders, upload photos of work/parts/findings using the iOS device and TRAIT application, complete DOT forms, and communicate with management/support as needed.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination such as additional education/certification or 5 years of experience).
•Possess and supply required hand tools to perform job duties.
•Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
•Successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
•Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain the Driver Qualification File, with DOT medical card requirements as described.
