Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design, development, and characterization of new tools, identifying and closing hardware and procedural gaps.
  • •Develop innovative solutions to enable best-in-class performance.
  • •Oversee tool installation and upgrades while ensuring quality, cost control, and adherence to the project schedule.
  • •Engage equipment vendors and partner with process, manufacturing, procurement, and vendor teams to build comprehensive packages for volume manufacturing sites.
  • •Create and maintain documents covering equipment performance, operating procedures, maintenance specifications, and cost metrics, and support internal/external audits.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree (MA) or 5+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment engineering roles.
  • •Deep understanding of equipment operation, working principles, troubleshooting, and tool installation procedures.
  • •Preferred experience with equipment transfer and ability to develop/optimize equipment hardware design.
  • •Knowledge of properties and handling of chemicals and gases.
  • •Ability to communicate and collaborate with partners both locally and globally, with strict adherence to Micron’s IP protection policy.
