Job Summary

Lead Applied Materials’ global finance policy, corporate accounting, and training initiatives within the Corporate Controller organization. Own governance of global close, accounting policies, and US GAAP guidance, partnering with External Reporting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and regional finance teams. Drive balance sheet review and audit support, develop scalable finance training content, and spearhead process simplification and transformation—partnering with systems/IT on ERP, automation, and AI enhancements.

•Support development, maintenance, and governance of global finance policies, including technical accounting guidance for complex transactions.
•Ensure policy governance and compliance with US GAAP, SOX/internal controls, and company policies; support balance sheet review and audit deliverables.
•Oversee global month-end/quarter-end close and consolidation, including balance sheet and income statement flux analysis.
•Design and deliver finance training programs for global finance policy and accounting topics, including scalable training content.
•Identify and drive initiatives to simplify and standardize accounting processes; partner with systems/IT on ERP, automation, and AI process/tool enhancements.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 158,500 - 218,000

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
•6–10+ years of relevant experience in corporate accounting, technical accounting, or Big 4.
•Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
•Experience partnering cross-functionally on complex accounting topics.
•CPA (or equivalent) and/or experience with SEC reporting and external audit processes.
