Key Responsibilities

  • •Support technical dialogue between the WHO country office and the WHO regional office during strategic and operational planning.
  • •Coordinate results-based management for the country office, including grants management, budget, work planning, and allocation to execute public health programmes.
  • •Collaborate with the resources mobilization focal point on resources mobilization activities.
  • •Ensure appropriate use of funds, including thematic funding and specified voluntary contributions, to achieve results.
  • •Prepare briefings, proposals, reports, communications, and advocacy documents and organize programme management meetings and capacity-building activities.

Key Requirements

  • •A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as public health, public administration, management, or administration.
  • •Minimum of five years of relevant work experience providing programme or project management services in public-sector, international development, or public health programmes.
  • •Desirable: experience in programme management, and experience with WHO processes and policies.
  • •Expert knowledge of English.
  • •Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, projects, and programmes, including results-based management and monitoring/evaluation.
