Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, and commission electrical equipment including PLCs, instrumentation, motor control centers, motors, switchgear, VFDs, MOVs, HVACs, and other electrical systems.
  • •Inspect and test instruments and systems to diagnose faults using electrical and electronic devices.
  • •Consult manufacturer manuals, circuit diagrams, and blueprints to determine tests and maintenance procedures.
  • •Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and complete written/electronic records (work orders, maintenance reports, calibration sheets, time entry, material requests, and drawings).
  • •Provide on-call support during non-business hours for emergency response and maintenance break-ins, and provide technical input for operations, projects, and turnarounds.

Key Requirements

  • •Certified Interprovincial Electrical Journeyperson or dual-ticketed as an Instrumentation and Control Technician.
  • •5–10 years of prior gas plant, refinery, pipeline, or oilfield experience.
  • •Ability to understand and apply Canadian Electrical Code requirements.
  • •PLC experience is a strong asset.
  • •Basic computer skills with Maximo (preferred) plus MS Word/Excel and Outlook.
