Job Summary

Join Okta’s FedRAMP initiative as a Staff-level DevOps engineer, helping build and scale secure, enterprise-grade Privileged Access Management (PAM). You’ll contribute to microservices and cloud infrastructure projects using Kubernetes/EKS, AWS services, and Terraform, while operating and upgrading shared services. Own performance, reliability, and troubleshooting, lead design/code reviews, and mentor junior engineers as you collaborate with architects, QA, product, security, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Accelerate development of secure, enterprise-grade PAM products using AI pair-programmers and LLMs (e.g., Copilot and Claude).
•Act as a core contributor to Okta’s FedRAMP initiative.
•Design, develop, and deliver cloud-based infrastructure projects on a modern tech stack (Kubernetes/EKS, AWS services, Docker, Terraform).
•Drive evaluation, development, rollout, and operation of microservices and shared services/frameworks, including scaling and upgrades.
•Lead design and code reviews, monitor and troubleshoot owned services, resolve bottlenecks, and mentor junior developers.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 194,000 - 267,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent; master's preferred.
•7+ years of programming experience (Go preferred) building backend services in modern languages.
•4+ years working with PostgreSQL or equivalent relational databases, including design and optimization.
•Strong grasp of architecting, implementing, tuning, and debugging large enterprise cloud deployments.
•Experience with cloud building blocks such as IaC, observability, secrets management, CI/CD, secure coding, and compliance.
