Job Summary

Deploy and support mission-critical airline and airport applications across Windows and Linux, owning the full lifecycle from server staging and OS installation to VM provisioning, application deployment, database configuration, and production transition. Provide second/third-level incident support and lead infrastructure recovery for corrupted or unrecoverable environments, including HA/failover and DR testing. Work with VMware/Hyper-V, AWS hybrid infrastructure, SQL Server/PostgreSQL, Kafka, MongoDB, OpenShift, and automation/scripting to restore services quickly and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

•Stage, provision, and build Windows and Linux servers; perform OS installation, hardening, patching, configuration, and baseline validation for production, DR, test, FAT, and UAT environments.
•Provide second/third-level support for major incidents and perform critical infrastructure recovery, including rebuilding corrupted VMs, operating systems, databases, and application environments from backups/images/templates.
•Support database recovery and restoration for SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including troubleshooting corruption, restoring from applicable backup types, validating integrity, and supporting failover/recovery/DR testing.
•Manage and troubleshoot VMware and Hyper-V virtual environments, including VM provisioning, cloning/restoring, and DR/HA-related activities.
•Design, execute, and document HA/failover and disaster recovery tests; plan and perform FAT/UAT and support production cutover with validation and detailed runbooks.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of experience in system deployment, infrastructure support, system recovery, or mission-critical IT environments.
•Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Red Hat Linux, including server staging, OS build, configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and recovery.
•Hands-on experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V, including VM restoration/rebuilding and disaster recovery.
•Experience recovering databases and application environments after corruption or infrastructure failure, with experience in SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
•Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery (failover, backup/restore, RPO/RTO) and scripting/automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
