Key Responsibilities

  • •Meet or exceed company and customer safety standards.
  • •Monitor construction-phase projects to ensure installation quality and compliance with plant standards and applicable NEC codes.
  • •Coordinate the design efforts of groups of designers at engineering contractor offices and in the field.
  • •Coordinate electrical and instrumentation design between the project manager and engineering contractors in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Develop detailed design deliverables (instrument loop/wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, area classification plan drawings, cable tray/conduit/wire sizing, cable selection, PLC panel sizing) and support walk-downs/material takeoffs/status reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •20+ years industrial experience in design, preferably for chemical manufacturing facilities.
  • •Highly experienced with instrument and electrical design.
  • •Experience designing instrumentation and electrical systems used in chemical manufacturing, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, plan drawings, and PLC/DCS.
  • •Extensive knowledge of I/O detail wiring and termination.
  • •Experience with Bentley MicroStation, and willingness to use Bentley Descartes/ProjectWise as a plus.
