Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out basic servicing of EK and third-party aircraft without supervision, following manufacturers and company procedures.
  • •Perform component replacements as instructed by, and supervised by, licensed engineers under guidance of Aircraft Technicians.
  • •Use knowledge of routine servicing ground equipment to identify unserviceabilities and record them for immediate rectification.
  • •Communicate with operating crew regarding refuelling and routine servicing, including refuelling without supervision and completion of technical log records.
  • •Maintain tools, equipment, and systems in the workplace, complete transit/daily/weekly checks, and ensure safety by monitoring the working area and keeping it clean and obstruction-free.

Key Requirements

  • •1 year experience in engineering / mechanical.
  • •Vocational/National/Higher National Diploma (12+2) or apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics, or Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent) with a reputable airline or approved maintenance organisation.
  • •Experience carrying out aircraft maintenance in an engineering environment.
  • •Basic theory and practical knowledge of airframe, power plant, and technical equipment, including completion of Human factors and GCAA air leg and fuel tank awareness training.
  • •Must be able to work independently and read, write, and speak English; must hold a valid Airport Driving Permit.
