Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the supply base for Raptor critical commodities, emphasizing build-to-print aerospace machined components and mechanical assemblies.
  • •Monitor part trends and costs across the Raptor portfolio, proactively mitigating increases through supplier relationships, should-costing, and coordination with engineering and finance.
  • •Use demand forecasts and design release plans to ensure capacity, technical competency, and quality processes for aggressive production ramp-up and design change slowdowns.
  • •Advise procurement and engineering partners on design for manufacturability, supply chain optimization, and cost reduction for mechanical commodities including sheet metal, forgings, castings, and hardware.
  • •Conduct supplier analysis to drive Make vs. Buy decisions, optimize sourcing plans, negotiate and administer contracts, and assess supplier facilities’ capability and capacity.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced degree with 4+ years, or bachelor’s with 6+ years, or 10+ years experience in engineering (mechanical/aerospace/chemical/materials), purchasing, contract negotiation, supply chain management, or material cost control.
  • •Experience identifying and executing an optimized machining supply chain, including raw material, machining, processing, inspection, and logistics.
  • •Practical experience in vendor development and managing CNC machined parts, forgings, and metallic raw materials.
  • •Ability to balance cost, rate, and reliability across new product development through stabilized high-volume production.
  • •Experience managing global supply chain activities and material cost control to meet quality and program goals.
