Job Summary

Transport freshly mixed concrete from the plant to job sites safely and on schedule. Operate the mixer truck on highways, roads, and in the yard, perform start-of-day inspections and complete driver check-off sheets, and adjust equipment settings as needed for load conditions. Review load consistency, follow written and verbal directions using maps and GPS information, assemble concrete chutes, maintain the truck, and comply with DOT and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Transport freshly mixed concrete from the plant to the job site in a safe manner and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
•Comply with Department of Transportation requirements, including licensing, vehicle inspection, and hours of service.
•Operate the truck safely on public highways, roads, and job sites; inspect the truck at the start of each workday and complete the driver check-off sheet.
•Follow written and verbal instructions using city street maps and GPS-based equipment information; complete necessary paperwork.
•Maintain the truck in clean working order, including basic maintenance and cleaning after loads, and assemble concrete chute(s).

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
•Must possess and maintain a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
•Must possess and maintain a valid Medical Card as per DOT requirements.
•Must be 18 years or older and pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
•Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
