Job Summary

Assist ecology surveys and ecological deliverables as part of WSP’s Nature Services team across Liverpool, Manchester, and Wrexham. You’ll contribute to Phase 1 habitat surveys, protected species surveys, tender preparation, and ecological reports, working with a diverse, technical team and flexible working patterns.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with ecology surveys, including extended Phase 1 habitat/UKHab surveys and protected species surveys.
•Prepare tenders for schemes and ecological surveys and deliverables.
•Contribute to deliverables such as Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Management Plans, Protected Species Reports, and EIAs.
•Support biodiversity chapters of EIAs and Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA).
•Work within a regional team and participate in project planning and fieldwork.

Key Requirements

•An appropriate academic qualification in Ecology or a related discipline.
•Qualifying Member status with CIEEM (or eligible for this).
•Experience in extended Phase 1 habitat/UKHab surveys and knowledge of protected species surveys.
•Some demonstrable experience in ecological survey, ideally in a consultancy environment.
•Full UK driving licence and good communication skills, with ability to work independently or in a team.
