Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide leadership to safely execute planned shutdown activities and report to T&I Leads and Superintendents.
  • •Ensure compliance with the client Permit to Work System and that SWMS are developed, reviewed, understood, and completed.
  • •Deliver daily pre-starts to the E&I team and provide communication/consultation on safety matters.
  • •Report incidents via the Loss Prevention System (LPS), lead investigations, and communicate lessons learned at weekly site safety meetings.
  • •Prioritise, schedule, and monitor trade work, using electrical systems knowledge (ELV/LV/HV circuits, schematics, loop drawings, hazardous area zoning, P&IDs) to support quality and avoid rework.

Key Requirements

  • •QLD Electrical trade licence is essential and you hold a recognised trade certificate (Electrical Mechanic or Electrical Fitter/Mechanic, Instrumentation).
  • •Dual electrical/instrumentation trade qualification is required, including Cert III Electrotechnology and Cert III in Instrument and Control (Cert IV in Electrical – Instrumentation considered).
  • •Cert IV in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) is required (valid past mid-August 2026).
  • •Current LVR/CPR is required (valid past mid-August 2026).
  • •Working at Heights, Confined Space, and High-risk EWP licence are desirable.
