Job Summary

Own technical delivery for middleware environments, including building and keeping systems in operational condition. Define the architecture evolution of IBM MQ Series technology, manage middleware patching, upgrades, and proactive monitoring across pre-production and production. Partner with project managers and technical teams on system upgrades, releases, and change management, while developing automation scripts and maintaining operational guidelines and documentation for 24/7 support.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage middleware housekeeping including patch management and upgrades, following AZ security and compliance standards.
•Collaborate with project managers and technical teams on planned system upgrades, server rollout, application upgrades, changes, and releases.
•Maintain and proactively monitor middleware infrastructure across pre-production and production environments.
•Develop automation tools via scripts for deployment, maintenance, and system monitoring, and create shell scripts to automate tasks and extract logs.
•Plan, document, review, and maintain system administration guidelines and procedures; document upgrade processes for handover to operations; support 24/7/365 personnel with operating documentation updates.

Key Requirements

•Master’s Degree.
•Prior experience in middleware administration and operations.
•Working in L3 roles in a global delivery team model.
•Extensive knowledge of IBM MQ Series.
•Extensive knowledge of IBM DataPower and performance tuning from a middleware perspective.
