Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and provide day-to-day operational leadership for multiple field crews across numerous projects.
  • •Ensure field teams adhere to safety and quality guidelines and follow the field schedule to meet communicated timeline and budget.
  • •Read and interpret utility drawings, as-builts, GIS files, and other utility record data; manage utility records requests with utility one-call centers and utility owners/operators.
  • •Conduct SUE investigations to identify, designate, and locate utilities using geophysical equipment (including GPR), observational skills, and deductive reasoning, including vacuum excavation.
  • •Perform QA/QC of SUE field data and audits of previously investigated utilities/field data; troubleshoot technical problems and mentor junior staff.

Key Requirements

  • •BS degree with 4 years of related experience, or AS degree with 6 years of related experience, or high school with 8 years of related experience.
  • •SUE and/or private utility locating experience with demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • •Experience and understanding of SUE practices and procedures in accordance with ASCE 38-02 & 38-22.
  • •Valid U.S. Driver’s License required; must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review and client background checks.
  • •Able to perform frequent field travel, frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent outdoor work in seasonal conditions, and daily walking across uneven outdoor construction terrain.
