Job Summary

Join the COO Business Risk and Governance team to embed enterprise and operational risk management frameworks and strengthen the control environment. You’ll support first-line stakeholders with GRC queries, regulatory requests, and assurance activities, and produce clear insight, metrics, and governance reporting. The role also covers risk identification and assessment, control effectiveness testing, RCSA, audit/artefact reviews, and committee support, with full training provided.

Key Responsibilities

•Support first line of defence colleagues with GRC activity, queries, and regulatory requests.
•Implement, embed, and improve risk management frameworks to strengthen the control environment.
•Provide analysis, insight, reporting, briefings, and presentations to support informed decision-making.
•Identify and support improvements to processes, efficiency, and governance approaches aligned to the risk framework.
•Support assigned risk areas, including risk identification/assessment, monitoring exceptions and control deviations, and contributing to RCSA and assurance activities.

Key Requirements

•Experience in a financial services environment.
•Knowledge of risk management practices and relevant regulatory principles (e.g., CASS and COBS).
•Understanding of operational activities within the Affluent business unit (or willingness to develop that understanding).
•Strong planning, analytical, and communication skills (verbal and written) to deliver against tight deadlines.
•Competence using Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to use data and metrics to drive actions.
