Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, coach, and mentor a cross-functional engineering team, supporting growth, well-being, and performance.
  • •Own the technical roadmap for the BOV Platform, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability of the business verification stack.
  • •Partner with BOV Global, Personal Onboarding, Wise Platform Verification, and Mitigation Handling to ensure the platform meets real product needs.
  • •Contribute actively to delivery by supporting day-to-day execution and getting hands-on when the team needs it.
  • •Own operational excellence, including on-call rotas, SLAs, documentation, observability, incident response, and durable fixes.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 105,000 - 135,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience leading and mentoring software engineers, including performance, well-being, growth, and constructive handling of difficult situations.
  • •Built and led platform/infrastructure teams whose customers are other engineering teams, with strong prioritization and ability to prevent bespoke-request queues.
  • •Solid Java (17+) knowledge with hands-on experience using Spring and Spring Boot.
  • •Strong system-design skills for distributed, high-throughput, resilient services, including event-driven architectures, sagas, and idempotency.
  • •Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimization and schema design.
