Key Responsibilities

  • •Define, implement, and maintain target-state business and technology architecture for the Alternatives business.
  • •Translate business strategy into architectural roadmaps and solution designs aligned with HSBC Group standards.
  • •Align architecture strategy with global Asset Management objectives and business growth plans.
  • •Identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and efficiency improvements across the Alternatives operating model.
  • •Influence senior management by articulating architectural vision and ensuring solution designs are scalable, cost-effective, and compliant with technology and data governance frameworks.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in Asset Management or Alternatives with deep understanding of private markets (private equity, private credit, real assets, hedge funds).
  • •Proven experience as a Business or Solutions Architect within financial services or investment management at a top-tier investment bank, asset manager, or alternatives-focused institution.
  • •Strong data architecture knowledge, including data lineage, data flows, integration, and governance.
  • •Exposure to front-to-back Alternatives operating models with hands-on experience using alternatives platforms such as Allvue, eFront, Arcesium, SimCorp, BlackRock Aladdin, or Investran.
  • •Experience with emerging technologies (AI, machine learning, blockchain) in an alternatives context.
