Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead electrical engineering design work for assigned projects under senior staff guidance.
  • •Collaborate with Project Engineer and Project Manager to develop design schedules and budgets for electrical scope.
  • •Design solar PV and BESS systems including array layouts, DC string sizing, equipment layouts, and utility interconnections.
  • •Perform engineering calculations for power system design (e.g., conductor sizing, overcurrent protection, voltage drop, NEC maximum system voltage, conduit sizing).
  • •Support projects across the lifecycle from feasibility through preliminary/detailed design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioning.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or an engineering-related discipline with 4 years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
  • •Demonstrated experience designing and integrating utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.
  • •Current professional engineering license (PE) and ability to attain additional states by comity.
  • •Proficiency with industry software such as Homer, NREL SAM, ForgeSolar, and Helioscope.
  • •Strong familiarity with NEC and related codes such as IBC and NFPA 855, plus utility standards (NESC, IEEE, PIP).
