Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct investigations, interviews, and inspect damage; prepare estimates, provide recommendations, and handle coverage questions and litigation.
  • •Set and maintain reserves; review reports and materials; direct experts; determine coverage and claim value; issue or decline payment; negotiate with plaintiffs when necessary.
  • •Document claim files and submit reports for closure.
  • •Identify subrogation opportunities and initiate action.
  • •Service the assigned territory and bring claims to conclusion; interact with agents and district sales managers.
  • •Assist claims supervisor or act on their behalf, including representation at legal proceedings as required.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED and five years of claims handling experience, or equivalent; OR Bachelor’s Degree and two years of claims handling experience, or equivalent.
  • •Willingness to live in the territory assigned or travel as needed; Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • •Experience in claims handling and ability to work remotely across Indiana.
  • •Successful completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) program preferred.
  • •Company car and equipment to work from home will be provided.
