Job Summary

Senior AI Product Engineer focused on shipping end-to-end AI-powered features inside Drata’s product, translating LLM capabilities, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows into user-friendly compliance tools. You’ll own frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Python/Node.js), collaborate with AI engineers and product/design teams, and drive product-level observability and quality. Hybrid work with in-person collaboration days in San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the end-to-end delivery of AI-powered product features, from React/TypeScript UI to Node.js/Python backend, with real-time streaming and human-in-the-loop patterns
•Translate AI capabilities such as RAG pipelines and agentic workflows into intuitive user experiences for compliance practitioners
•Define and maintain API contracts/output schemas with AI engineers; translate AI capabilities into customer-facing interactions
•Advocate for user perspective in technical decisions and identify where model outputs break down to improve the product layer
•Build user-facing feedback loops and product-level observability (latency, engagement, task completion) to drive ongoing AI feature improvement

Key Requirements

•3+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping full-stack features in production; 1+ years working on AI-powered product features
•Strong frontend proficiency in React and TypeScript; experience building responsive UIs that handle async, streaming, and real-time data
•Solid Python and Node.js/Typescript skills; experience designing and consuming APIs that integrate with LLM providers, orchestration frameworks, or AI services
•Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and practical understanding of prompt engineering, context management, RAG, and structured outputs
•Familiarity with agent frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain) and streaming techniques (SSE, WebSockets) to support real-time UI
