Job Summary

Experienced Senior Structural Engineer leading bridge design within a Northern New England transportation group. You’ll perform advanced structural analysis and design for transportation structures, coordinate with disciplines and clients, mentor junior engineers, and engage with design centers across the U.S. to deliver high-quality bridge projects from concept to construction.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the design and analysis of transportation structures, including bridges and retaining walls, across project stages from concept to construction.
•Coordinate with multiple disciplines, subconsultants, and clients to develop plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates; ensure data integrity and compliance with codes.
•Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate design concepts, findings, and recommendations.
•Maintain QA/QC standards and mentor entry-level engineers, providing guidance and leadership to project teams.
•Collaborate with regulatory agencies and project stakeholders, supporting proposals and business development efforts.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or closely related discipline
•7+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior structural or civil design experience
•Registered Professional Engineer (PE), preferably in NH, VT or Maine or ability to obtain PE
•Proficient knowledge of structural engineering principles, design/build processes, and applicable codes/regulations
•Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
