Job Summary

Join the Primary Casualty team within the National Casualty Practice, supporting brokers who represent buyers of primary and umbrella/excess liability. You’ll analyze current risk transfer programs, design insurance program alternatives, benchmark coverage and limits, prepare marketplace submissions, and coordinate market meetings and negotiations. You’ll finalize quotes, compare program options for client proposals, and serve as a primary or secondary market contact while collaborating with account executives and risk analysts.

Key Responsibilities

•Thoroughly analyze current risk transfer programs, including coverage and cost analysis, with a graphical representation of the program.
•Plan and design insurance program structures and develop alternative options.
•Provide benchmarking analysis for limits and coverage terms.
•Prepare marketplace insurance submissions, coordinate and conduct market meetings, and support negotiations with Account Executives.
•Finalize quotes and complete comparisons of program options for client proposals, including exposure, loss, collateral, and coverage and cost of risk changes.

Key Requirements

•2-5 years of experience working in primary placements and/or in casualty.
•Strong understanding of primary casualty work, including relationships with insurance company management and underwriting teams.
•Strong written and communication skills to communicate professionally with clients and the marketplace.
•A Property and Casualty Brokers License is required (or must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
