Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, backhoes, and related machinery.
  • •Review and apply manufacturer manuals and guidelines for each assigned piece of equipment.
  • •Complete daily equipment checklists and perform daily inspections and pre-start procedures to ensure proper operating condition.
  • •Communicate with forepersons and superintendents about daily job requirements and specifications, coordinating with other crew members for safe project flow.
  • •Assist with general laborer duties as required and maintain equipment cleanliness inside and out while following all safety and operational procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Preferred experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment, with GPS machine control operating experience a plus.
  • •Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
  • •Knowledge of construction materials and equipment is strongly desired.
  • •Minimum 18 years of age and possession of a valid driver’s license with a good driving record; CDL may be required or willingness to obtain one.
  • •Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and “Fit for Work” physical; provide I-9 eligibility documentation.
