Key Responsibilities

  • •Create, assign, and monitor work orders; track machine service intervals; order parts; and diagnose issues using data from multiple equipment makes and models.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance and repairs for power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
  • •Troubleshoot equipment failures both in the shop and at customer locations, handling repairs end-to-end.
  • •Set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites, working individually or with other technicians as needed.
  • •Maintain complete daily paperwork/electronic documentation and assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts, including training lower-level technicians when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Must own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
  • •Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • •Ability to travel weekly to support business needs and perform preventive maintenance and repairs at customer job sites when required.
  • •Ability to calculate nominal and effective tonnage or kW requirements and read/understand schematics.
  • •EPA 608 certification is preferred (must be able to obtain it within 6-12 months if not already certified).
