Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections, and complete follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment (e.g., electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, air conditioning, transmissions, differentials).
  • •Inspect, test, and road test defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using tools such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.
  • •Document work and complete DOT and other forms, including uploading pictures and findings on Repair Orders (RO) using a company-issued iOS device and the TRAIT application.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment, maintain and operate the service truck with safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections, and comply with OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field, with alternate combinations acceptable (degree/certification + 3 years, or 7 years total).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Obtain ASE 608/609 certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current valid DOT medical card with required remaining validity), and hold a valid driver’s license; candidates must be at least 21 years or older.
