Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, train, and validate supervised models to score FWA risk using investigative case-level data, payer feedback, and enforcement data as labels with entity resolution.
  • •Create validation methods for delayed/lagging labels, temporally shifting conditions, extreme class imbalance, leakage detection, and precision-focused ranked metrics.
  • •Engineer features against billions of claims records inside the warehouse using Python and SQL, working with data engineers and business intelligence developers.
  • •Deploy models into production with scheduled execution, versioning, and drift monitoring, and establish modeling/deployment practices for the team.
  • •Collaborate with FWA subject-matter experts and communicate methodology, limitations, and outputs so partners can adopt and act on results.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s in a quantitative field (statistics, computer science, engineering, applied mathematics or related) or a Bachelor’s with equivalent hands-on experience.
  • •5+ years building, validating, and delivering supervised machine learning models on real-world data with incomplete, delayed, or biased labels.
  • •Experience deploying models into production and maintaining them (scheduling execution, versioning, drift monitoring) with data engineers.
  • •Proficiency in Python and SQL, including feature engineering within a data warehouse at very large scale.
  • •2+ years working with healthcare claims data (Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial) and coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, DRG).
