Job Summary

Deliver heavy equipment safely and efficiently at an onsite rental facility, operating according to state and federal transportation laws while staying focused in a busy environment. Manage loading and unloading with proper route and safety practices, maintain required paperwork (invoices and bills of lading), and perform routine truck checks such as oil and air. Work Monday–Friday with potential overtime and possible on-call scheduling, using real-time delivery and fleet information to support customers.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate a vehicle safely and legally according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
•Transport loads on required routes in a timely manner, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
•Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading and unloading areas, assisting with loading/unloading using specialized equipment.
•Maintain and deliver required paperwork including signed invoices and bills of lading to the appropriate staff when deliveries are complete.
•Facilitate routine service on trucks, such as checking oil, water, gasoline, and air, and report maintenance malfunctions.

Key Requirements

•Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight to be operated.
•Pass background and drug testing required by federal and/or state DOT regulations.
•Pass a DOT physical for trucks driven over 10k lbs.
•Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
•Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and remain focused in a busy environment.
