Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and analyze structural systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, and retaining structures.
  • •Lead structural design packages using engineering software, hand calculations, and design standards to deliver complete structural systems.
  • •Prepare Bluebeam markups and coordinate with BIM teams to translate analytical work into models and drawings.
  • •Conduct site inspections for new construction, structural condition assessments, and rehabilitation projects.
  • •Provide construction support including shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and change management, while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering, Seismic Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
  • •Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience, ideally in water and wastewater facilities and seismic design in British Columbia.
  • •Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation registered with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
  • •Demonstrated experience preparing technical memoranda, reports, proposals, and client-facing documentation.
  • •Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including BCBC 2024, NBCC, CSA A23.1/2, CSA A23.3, ACI 350, CSA S16, and CSA S900.2.
