Provide efficient management of medical records at Cromwell Hospital, ensuring accurate filing, secure handling of patient data, and timely retrieval for Outpatients and Admissions. You will support the Senior Medical Records Officer, maintain confidentiality under the Data Protection Act, and contribute to daily statistics and records management in a busy hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Locate, prepare and distribute medical records to Outpatients, Admissions and other departments within the hospital, while maintaining an accurate tracer card system.
•Retrieve and modify patient details from the hospital computer. File and retrieve all case notes, pathology results and any other relevant documentation to maintain an up-to-date filing system.
•Adhere to and complete procedures relating to the secondary storage, retention and archiving of medical records on the scanning systems in use within the department.
•Deal with all telephone calls and enquiries in a courteous, efficient and professional manner.
•Maintain patient confidentiality at all times and display an understanding of the implication of the Data Protection Act and the Access to Medical Records Policy for the release of information.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 12.74 hourly
