Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage an assigned caseload of highest complexity property claims, investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling within defined guidelines.
  • •Determine coverage by analyzing complex policy terms, claim data, and relevant information; identify discrepancies and coverage concerns.
  • •Negotiate highly complex settlements and recommend settlement amounts outside authority limits; maintain accurate, current claim documentation.
  • •Partner with vendors and internal/external partners to ensure compliant documentation and resolution; create Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals when appropriate.
  • •Use estimating technology platforms to prepare claims estimates and serve as a subject matter expert; support workload surges/CAT operations as needed with travel.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
  • •4 years’ relevant property claims adjusting experience, including writing estimates of moderate-highly complex claims and field adjusting experience.
  • •2 years’ experience handling dwelling claims.
  • •Successfully acquire Property & Casualty (P&C) adjuster license and state registrations within 90 days of hire.
  • •Proficient knowledge of Xactimate (or similar estimating platform) and advanced knowledge of property claims contracts/interpretation of case law.
