Key Responsibilities

  • •Embrace and promote the ethos and standards of excellence defined in the GEMS Core Values.
  • •Deliver the required curriculum by planning and teaching quality lessons that motivate students and reflect accurate, up-to-date knowledge.
  • •Differentiate instruction using appropriate strategies for students’ individual needs (e.g., ESL, late-entering students, gifted and talented).
  • •Assess, record, and report on academic development and attainment; set and mark work and use assessment to guide curriculum needs.
  • •Maintain records and follow GEMS policies and codes of conduct while supporting student progress, well-being, and safe, appropriate behavior.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a B.Ed or Bachelors degree in a relevant field (Early Years Education) with PGCE/PGDE or an equivalent L5 teaching qualification.
  • •Knowledge of the use of ICT in schools to aid teaching and learning.
  • •Strong subject knowledge and solid commitment to teaching and learning.
  • •At least 2 years of teaching experience in the relevant subject area/age group.
